Leo House, age 89, of Gordo, Ala., passed away March 24, 2019 at Arbor Woods Health and Rehab. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; nine siblings, Norman House, Hattie Bridges, Jean Lindsey, Mae Byars, Nell Noland, Bill House, Sue Ree Stephens, Mary Ann Reeves and Sam House.
Leo is survived by his two loving daughters, Elizabeth C. Taylor of Gordo, Ala. and Debra D. Fair of Reform, Ala.; three grandchildren, Tony Shirley (Lisa), SaDonna Heathman (Lee) and Eric Fair (Amber); seven great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. House was born in Gordo, Alabama August 25, 1929 to the late Ben M. House and Ocie Salena Pate House. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church in Carrollton, Alabama and was a retired butcher, farmer and carpenter.
Pallbearers will be Tony Shirley, Eric Fair, Terry Davis, Terry Fountain, Danny Earl Jones, David Jones, Bill Jones and Randy Burgess.
Honorary pallbearers are friends on County Rd. 16 and the Bostic Community, employees of Arbor Woods Health & Rehab, Aseracare Hospice and Joe Bridges.
