Leslie T. Montgomery, age 90, of Aliceville, AL passed away December 19, 2021 at Glen Haven Health & Rehab in Northport. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Charlie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th Street NE in Aliceville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Montgomery; his parents; sister, Virginia Robertson Stockman and two brothers, Leon Montgomery and Dennis Montgomery.
Survivors include his daughters, Sevena Upton of Piedmont, SC and Kim Hickman (Perry) of Carrollton; sister, Pauline Lancaster; sisters-in-law, Patsy Montgomery, Karen Montgomery and Katie Kimbrell; six grandchildren, Nikki Haltiwanger (Freddie), Sarah McCranie (Danny), Katie French (Jamie), Kelly Mangold (D.J.), Josh Hickman and Lindsey Hickman and eleven great-grandchildren.
Leslie was born January 17, 1931 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Jessie Thurman Montgomery and Mattie Lee Wheat Montgomery. He was a member of Aliceville First Baptist Church, a retired employee of Huyck Felt and Aliceville Casting and a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War.
