ALICEVILLE | Lillie Bess Bell King, age 85, of Aliceville, died December 22, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013, at Hebron United Methodist Church with Rev. Roger Short officiating. A private family burial was held at Panola Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the memorial service.She was preceded in death by John Clark King Sr., her parents, one brother, and three sisters.Survivors include her sons, John C. King, Jr. of Oxford, Miss., Chris King (Judi) and Claude King, both of Dancy, Ala.; brother, Billy Bell of Lebanon, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Hugh Downer of Jackson, Miss.; grandchildren, Karen, Eric, Ivy, Clark and Josh; and four great-grandchildren.Mrs. King was born September 6, 1928 to the late Claude Bell and Lillie Batson Bell. She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church, a homemaker, and a well-known resident of Pickens County and the Dancy community.
