Linda Carr Young, age 75, of Carrollton, AL passed away April 29, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, May 2, 2021at Carrollton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Boothe officiating. Burial will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson, Fred "Baby" Walker.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Young; daughter, Amy Salter (Terry); son, Jeffery Young (Tiffany); six grandchildren, Brittany Salter, Ashley Salter, Allison Campbell (Dillan), Ralston Young, Jayden Young and Colton Young and four great-grandchildren, Huett Humphryes, Carter Campbell, Will Campbell and Jackson Anderson.
Linda was born February 1, 1946 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Martin Dewey Carr and Myrtle Noland Carr. She was a member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church and retired secretary for Dr. William Hill.
Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Keith Cox, Dillan Campbell, David Ashe, Rocky Willard, Robbie Shaw and Art Mosley.
Honorary Pallbearers are the nurses and staff of TSICU, the 6th and 7th floors at DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa Home Dialysis and Encompass Home Health.
