Louise Burkhalter Bearden, age 79, passed away July 20, 2020 at her residence in Birmingham, Alabama. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church, 171 Double Branch Rd., Gordo, AL 35466. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service.
Survivors include her husband, Winford E. Bearden; daughter, Amy Takacs (Tim); son, Greg Bearden (Lindsay); sister, Margaret Fair-Koon; brother, Dudley Burkhalter and four grandchildren, Zachary Takacs, Maggie Bearden, Blaine Bearden and Harper Takacs
Louise was born May 17, 1941 in Gordo, Alabama to the late Gilbert and Fannie Mae Burkhalter. She married Winford Eugene Bearden on June 17, 1972 in Gordo, Alabama. Louise was a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Birmingham where she taught three year old children in Sunday School for over thirty years.
