GORDO – Louise Livingston Burgess, age 82, of Gordo, Ala., died February 21, 2017, at Glen Haven Health and Rehabilitation. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Smith and Rev. Shawn McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, O. L. Livingston, Jr.; sister-in-law, Margaret Livingston; and niece, Belinda Livingston.Survivors include her son, Randy Burgess and wife, Irene; sister, Lisa Cobb; three grandchildren, Chris Burgess (Paige), Laura Thomas (Michael) and Jon Burgess; five great-grandchildren, Landon, Reid and Bentley Burgess and Hayden and Kylee Thomas; sister-in-law, Betty Livingston; and nephews, Bruce Livingston and James Hayes.Louise was born October 1, 1934 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late O. L. Livingston, Sr. and Erdeal Homan Livingston. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and a retired employee of Westinghouse with over 29 years of service. Louise loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.Pallbearers will be Michael Thomas, Jon Burgess, Chris Burgess, Donald Elmore, Bruce Livingston, Matt Livingston, Phillip Springfield, Donnie Kirk and Frankie Cabiness.
