MILLPORT | Ann Caraway Sanford, age 80, of Millport, Ala., died February 27, 2016, at Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care Facility. Services were held 11 a.m. Monday, February 29, 2016, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Robbins officiating. Burial followed in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation was held one hour prior and immediately following service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman Sanford; her parents; and her brother, Willie Irvin Caraway. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Sanford Prater and husband, Mark of Millport, Ala.; brother, James Robert Caraway, Sr.; grandchildren, Anna Prater Drury (Brady) and Casey Prater Bass (Bryan); and great-grandchildren, Knox and Ace.Ann was born July 13, 1935 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late James Irvin Caraway and Willie Loventrice Clardy Caraway. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a retired florist.Pallbearers will be Brady Drury, Bryan Bass, Michael Marcum, Adam Marcum, George Prater and Mike Patrick.
