Lynda Jo Pate, age 74, of Elrod, AL passed away October 22, 2021 at her residence. A private family service will be held at a later date. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by two sons, William Charles Pate and Derrell Shane Pate and her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Derrell Pate; daughter, Melissa Jo Pate Mauffray (Charles Darrin); stepdaughter, Redda Banks (David); daughter-in-law, Danielle Pate; sister, Gloria Faye Montgomery (Bobby); seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Lynda was born September 6, 1947 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Carl Rice and Lorraine Williams Rice. She was a member of Elrod Baptist Church and a former administrative assistant at DCH Regional Medical Center.
The family wishes to express their thanks for the love and care shown to my wife and our mother by Alabama Hospice Care of Tuscaloosa and her special caregiver, Sue McAteer.
