Maggie Doris Beard, age 73, of Jacksonville, AL passed away September 19, 2021 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Larry Bollinger officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and following the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th Street NE in Aliceville, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Beard; daughter, Angel Bowens; her parents and sisters, Cora Haney (Gene) and Marie Jimenez (Marcus).
Survivors include her daughter, Grace Wright (Joey); sons, David Bowens (Tonya) and Albert Bowens; brothers, Sam Eaves (Gloria) and Billy Eaves (Sissy); sisters, Jean Chapman and Betty Dodd; six grandchildren, Ty Bowens (Kate), Josh Bowens (Eli), Cynthia LaPoint, Nick Bowens, Angel Wright and Maggie Wright; six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Maggie was born June 10, 1948 in Geiger, Alabama to the late Jack Eaves and Mary Williams Eaves. She was self-employed as a home health caregiver.
Pallbearers will be Ty Bowens, Josh Bowens, Nick Bowens, Chad Eaves, Marco Calixto and Chuck Burgin, Jr.
