Margaret Floyd, age 84, of Gordo, AL died September 26, 2019 at Northport Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church, 12890 Boyd Road, Echola, AL 35457 with Elder Tim McCool officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. No graveside service will be held. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
She was preceded in death by her father, Reuben Narramore; her mother, Octavia Hamner Narramore Green; stepfather, Charles Haskell Green, Jr.; fathers of her children, Jimmy Lee Estes and Claude Floyd and infant sister, Pauline Narramore.
Survivors include her special friend, Jimmy Sullivan; daughters, Connie Harris (Ricky) of Tuscaloosa, Mary Hood (Andy), Fran Draper (William) and Gail Jones (Al), all of Gordo; sons, Mike Estes (Judy) of Tuscaloosa and David Floyd of Gordo; special daughter-in-law, Cara Floyd; brothers, Ronnie Narramore (Linda) of Gordo and Lonnie Narramore (Donna) of Coker; ten grandchildren, Kava Smith, Courtney Floyd Harrison (Aaron), Hannah Floyd, Lou Anna Draper Truelove (Darrell), Chance Draper, Mason Hood, Morgan Hood, Ethan Jones, Claudia Jones and Samuel Jones; five great-grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Smith, Hayden Smith, Brady Harrison, Dailey Harrison and Jed Truelove and a number of nieces and nephews. Margaret was born July 28, 1935 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She attended Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church and was the former manager of Dollar General.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
