Margaret Ann Fair Koon, age 86, of Gordo, AL passed away August 15, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.                                                                    She is preceded in death by her first husband, John Clifton Fair; her parents and sister, Louise Burkhalter Bearden.
Survivors include her husband, William "Billy" Koon; son, Terry M. Fair and wife, Joy; brother, Dudley Burkhalter (Sharon); grandson, Eric James Fair (Kristin); two great-grandchildren, Isabella Marie Fair and Dallas Alexander Fair and brother-in-law, Dr. Winford Bearden.
Margaret was born February 21,1935 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Gilbert L. Burkhalter and Fannie Mae Thomas Burkhalter. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Eric Fair, Glen Burkhalter, Michael Fair, Clinton Brown, Robin McConnell and Ethan Koon.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church or Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 913, Gordo, AL 35466.
