Margaret Erma Winborne Bryant, age 94, of Carrollton, AL died December 13, 2025 in Sapps, Alabama. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 19, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Rusty Walker officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton T. "Sonny" Bryant; her parents; grandson, Bryant L. Lavender; sister, Lucy W. Randall (Ellis); brother, Jesse L. Winborne; sisters-in-law, Helen Golden (Johnny), Ann, Barbara and Linda Bryant and brothers-in-law, Herbert and Harold Bryant.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Bryant Jones of Sapps; sister, Yvonne W. Whitman (Ed) of Huntsville; sister-in-law, Annette Winborne of Kimberling City, MO; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Bryant of Pell City and Donald Bryant (Joyce) of Carrollton; granddaughter, Katie J. Elmore (Jacob); grandsons, Jesse Jones and Josh Jones; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Hunter, Lane, Kayben, Kaylee and Addie and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bryant was born January 11, 1931 in Sapps, Alabama to the late Jesse L. Winborne and Annie V. Butler Winborne. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, retired from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers with over 40 years of service and she was also with the Selective Service. She loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, her family, her church, her community and her country.
Pallbearers will be Warren Eatman, Jamie Bryant, Jason Eatman, David Whitman, Tim Bridges and Jody Terry.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, neighbors and friends of the Sapps community, Florea Sansing, Tammy Kent, Hunter and Haley Reynolds, Chuck Plowman, Dr. Jay Parker and staff, employees of Gentry Drugs, employees of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Amedisys Hospice and Home Health, Brenda and Richard Watkins, Dot Bridges and family and Sammy Earl Jones.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 5506 Sapps Road, Carrollton, AL 35447 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to K 9's for Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Road, Ponte Vedra, FL 32081 or to a charity of your choice.
