Marian Caddis Braswell, age 79, died at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Florida on November 30, 2017 from complications related to cancer. Born on May 22, 1938 in Andalusia Alabama, she lived in Mobile, Birmingham, and Gainesville, Florida. Marian graduated from Vanderbilt University and worked as a beloved elementary school teacher for 28 years until retiring in 1997. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Florida. She is survived by son Marcus Braswell and his wife Yislin Castellanos of Miami, Florida and son Charles Braswell and wife Laura Braswell of Lakeland Florida and six grandchildren, the loves of her life—Nathaniel Braswell, Susannah Braswell, Laura Grace Braswell, Emma Braswell, Benjamin Braswell, and Olivia Braswell. Marian was preceded in death by her father Charles Marian Caddis, her mother Earline Owings Caddis and her brother Charles Owings Caddis. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 7th at 2pm at Carrollton Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Carrollton, Alabama 30117.
