Marie Fair Boyd, age 66, of Northport and formerly of Gordo was sleeping peacefully Saturday morning, March 29, 2025 and woke up with Jesus, just as she prayed she would.   Private family services will be held.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Leon Fair. Sr; mother, Jean Fair Martin and brother, James Leon "Jimbo" Fair, Jr.
Survivors include her son, David Heath Boyd; brother, Keith Fair (Nancy); sisters, Debbie Fair Elmore (Ken) and Sherri Fair Dillard (Randy); nephews, Drew Elmore (Jen), Eric Fair, Patrick Fair (Bonnie), Luke Dillard (Laurie) and Byron Fair (Courtney); nieces, Erica Fair, Michelle Fair Parker (Mickey) and Jill Fair Jones (Dusty) and great-nieces and nephews, Charli Elmore, Fisher Bailey, Gabrielle "Gabby" Bailey, Maggie Grace Fair, James Fair, Audrey Fair, Mary Ella Fair, Mary Caroline Jones, Nora Fair and BK Fair.  She was also survived by Cherry Reynolds Tolliver - who Marie thought of as her sister and special friends who Marie loved, Debbie House Lancaster, Vickie Shirley Simpson, Kelly McGee McWhorter, Pam Ryan McDaniel and Shelia Woods.
Marie was born May 10, 1958 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  She was a retired clerk with the Tuscaloosa County Tax Assessor's Office.
Marie lived a difficult life for the past 34 years with Parkinson's Disease.  She was a spunky little fighter that took each day as it came, but never lost her faith in her Lord and Savior.  Marie was someone that others could look at and know without a doubt and also be remembered as a loving, kind and a thoughtful person.
She loved her son with all her heart and her other family members as well.  But she loved her Lord Jesus Christ above all.
