Marie Bundy Leatherwood Hines, age 91 of Pell City, AL formerly of Aliceville, AL passed away January 14, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Aliceville First Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Cemetery in Aliceville with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Leatherwood and husband of 58 years, Burton Davis "Tom" Hines; her parents and siblings, O. J. Bundy, Connie Bundy Price, Ollie James Bundy, Sarah Bundy Mosley, Elaine Bundy Mosley, Sollie Bundy, Jerry Wayne Bundy and Stanley Eugene Bundy.
Survivors include her daughters, Gwen Leatherwood Windle of Pelham, AL, Teresa Hines McLarty (Brent) of Chelsea, AL and Lori Hines Junkins (John) of Pell City, AL; son, Lynn E. Leatherwood (Lisa) of Gulfport, MS; nine grandchildren, Lauren Windle Townsend (Marc), Clarence Christopher "Clay" Craft, Jr. (Rachel), Brittany Hardie, Catherine F. Leatherwood, John Hunter Craft, Taylor Lynn Leatherwood, Katheryn Lett (Keaton), Jake Junkins and Amelia Hope Junkins; six great-grandchildren, Alexandra Grace Townsend, Tyson Davis Townsend, Roman John White, Charlie Sawyer Craft, Vivienne White and Connor Davis Craft; sisters-in-law, Phoebe Bundy, Karen Bundy, Carol Bundy, Linda Bundy and Betty J. Lee and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was born January 6, 1931 in Covington County, Alabama to the late Julius O. "Jule" Bundy and Bell Ammons Bundy. She was a retired financial counselor for First National Bank of Aliceville with 20 years of service. Marie was an active member of Aliceville First Baptist Church and Cropwell Baptist Church in Pell City, AL.
