Mark Griffin Johnson, age 63, of Aliceville, AL died June 16, 2026 at his residence. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Union Chapel Community Center in Carrollton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy Woodard.

Survivors include his daughter, Brittany Hopson and husband, Max of Houston, MS; sister, Susie Noland (Mike) of Carrollton; brother, Glenn Johnson (Beth) of Carrollton; two grandchildren, Jaxon Hopson and Xander Hopson; nieces, Sabrina Woodard, Ashley Noland, Chelsie Skinner (Lee), Danielle Cook (Sean) and Briana McDaniel (Thomas); nephew, Buster Woodard; great-nieces, Megan Woodard, Dylan Woodard, Skylar Woodard, Avery Skinner, Rylee Skinner and Sadie McDaniel and great-nephews, Case McDaniel, Harrison Cook, Nolan Woodard and Hayden Hayse.

Mark, known as “Sweets” to his grandchildren, was born November 9, 1962 in Aliceville, Alabama to the late Griffin Johnson and Betty Noland Johnson. He was an employee of GAF Roofing and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
