Marlin Homan, age 76, of Gordo, AL died July 25, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro., Marvin McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Hannah Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediatley following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Carlin Bryan Homan; brother, Curtis Homan; sister Dianna Homan Burkhalter; nephew, Joshua Homan; mother-in-law, Edna Erle Tilley and brother-in-law, Clayburn Driver.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sylvia T. Homan; daughter, Tara Homan Cargile and husband, Josh; two grandchildren, Marlaina Cargile and John Marlin Homan; brothers-in-law, Wayne Burkhalter and Sid Tilley (Pam); sisters-in-law, Sandra Morgan (Barry) and Pam Homan; nieces, Dawn, Shellia, Dellinda, Amber and Annie and nephews, Zeke and Justin.
Marlin was born October 7, 1948 in Gordo, Alabama to the late John Homan and Nedra Pate Homan.  He was a member of Cornerstone Methodist Church, a retired supervisor for Hunt Oil and a veteran of the United States Army Reserve.
Honorary Pallbearers are Post 34 1967 Team, 75th Field Unit Army Reserve, Hunt Refinery co-workers, coffee drinking buddies, church family, friends and neighbors.   We are so thankful to be blessed with so many loving and wonderful friends.
