Martha Jane Skelton Marler, age 72, of Reform, AL passed away January 12, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Morrison, Rev. Trey Reece, Rev. Terry Knopp and Rev. Calvin Hall officiating and Dee Dee Davis will deliver the Eulogy. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Luvenia Ferguson.
Survivors include her husband, James Marler, Jr.; son, Chad Marler and wife, Christie; three brothers, Jerre Skelton (Geraldine), John H. "Junior" Skelton, Jr. and Roy Lee Skelton; brother-in-law, Marvin Ferguson; sister-in-law, Dee Dee Davis; two grandchildren, Brandie Nicole Marler and Kacie Morgan Marler and one great-granddaughter, Kaelynne Reign Ellis,
Martha was born October 16, 1950 in Reform, Alabama to the late John Hopson Skelton, Sr. and Lena Phillips Skelton. She was a seamstress and a caregiver. Martha was a member of Stansel Baptist Church but attended Reform Church of God.
Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Saxton, Todd Hall, Mike Maughan, Carl Vail, Mike Birmingham, William Ashmore, Mark Junkin and Ken Simpson.
