CARROLLTON | Marvin Ray Reece, age 73, of Carrollton, died Dec. 23, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Fondren officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately after the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Harvey Dale Reece. Survivors include his sisters, Daisy Reece of Reform, Ala., Edna Ann Grace (Cliff) of Gallion, Ala., and Mary Lou Walker (Travis) of Carrollton, Ala.; brothers, James Reece of Carrollton, Ala., and Oscar Reece (Linda) of Gordo, Ala.; special uncle, James T. Lancaster of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Randy Smith and Samantha Sanders. Marvin was born March 9, 1941 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Charlie Dale Reece and Eddie Mae Lancaster Reece. Marvin was a self-employed farmer and a life-long resident of Pickens County. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Pickens County Medical Center, employees of Aliceville Manor Nursing Home, Nursing Staff of DCH 5th Floor East and the TSICU, Dr. Bilton, Dr. Michael Hall, Davita Dialysis, Tuscaloosa Nephrologist, and all his special friends he grew up with and loved.
