Mary Katherine Davis, age 60, of Gordo, Alabama died November 11, 2018 at Hospice of West
Alabama. Her Memorial Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Gordo First United
Methodist Church with Rev. Marvin McCormick officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
Visitation will be immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Billie Mae Adams Gilliam and Janie
Adams Hayden; her brother, Jerry Wayne Adams and mother-in-law, Carolyn Davis.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Dale Davis; her daughter, Ashley Bailey McNair; her
son, Adam Daniel Bailey; one sister, Sandra Adams Studyvin; her father-in-law Harold Davis and
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary was born November 5, 1958 in Aliceville, Alabama to the late Willard T. Adams and
Allah Mae O'Bryant Adams. She was a member of Gordo First United Methodist Church and a
registered nurse.
Mary worked at DCH Regional Medical Center, the office of Dr. Dale Robbins and
Tuscaloosa Surgical Center. She worked two years as a travel nurse and then was employed full time
by Indian Health Services working in Gallop and Crownpointe in northern New Mexico.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. A true caregiver, Mary had friends from
all walks of life.
Pallbearers will be Dallas Howell, Drew Thomas Patterson, Austin Guy, Craig Perrigin,
Mark McKinzey and Scott Presley.
Honorary Pallbearers are Myron Spencer and Marvin Long.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop
