Mary Elizabeth Peddycoart, age 83, of Eutaw, AL passed away June 4, 2023 at her residence.  Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, June 9, 2023 at West Greene Baptist Church in Eutaw with Bro. Carl Sudduth officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will follow the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Forrest Moore (the father of her children) and Floyd Nelson Peddycoart; her parents; brothers, Roy A. Gay, John Clyde Gay, Ervin W. Gay and James O. Gay, Sr.; sister, Margaret J. Wilburn and an infant son.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah F. Woods (David Mathis) and Donna S. Hopson; sister, Marvis L. "Sissy" Wilburn; two grandchildren, Brittany Gaye Woods Bryant and Audrey Michelle Godwin and five great-grandchildren, Emilee Autum Godwin, Kaitlin Elizabeth Bryant, Dalton Lane Godwin, Jenna Nicole Bryant and Raelyn James Boone.
Mary was born October 2, 1939 in West Greene, Alabama to the late Irving Augusta Gay and Audrey Bland Burton Gay.  She was a member of West Greene Baptist Church, a homemaker and a retired postmaster for the Clinton Post Office with 31 years of service.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Dale Robbins and staff, Amedisys Hospice of Tuscaloosa, Sara Hales and Eloise Tucker.
