Obituary

CARROLLTON | Mary Elizabeth Stimac McDaniel, age 87, of Carrollton, died January 18, 2015, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Deb McGaughy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Nathaniel McDaniel; her parents; brothers, Charles Anton Stimac, Bobby Joe Stimac and John Wayne Stimac; sisters, Pauline Ammons and Lela Angala Stimac; sister-in-law, Rosie Mae Stimac; and beloved uncle, Joe Stimac.
Survivors include her sister, Melinda McDaniel and husband, Buddy of Carrollton, Ala.; sister-in-law, Betty Lou Parker Stimac; many greatly loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and special beloved friend and neighbor, Scotty Burkhalter.
Mrs. McDaniel was born January 22, 1927 in Carrollton, Alabama to the late Frank Anthony Stimac and Maude Acker Stimac. She was a longtime member of her beloved Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church, a retired employee of Westinghouse and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers are Michael Stimac, Wyatt Anthony McDaniel, Jimmy Noland, Jeffrey Noland, Ken Acker, Robert Sellers and Danny Price.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Pam Alexander, 3447 Marvin Chapel Rd., Carrollton, AL 35447 or to Southern Care Hospice, 3835 Watermelon Rd., Northport, AL 35473.
