Matthew McDaniel, age 60, of Reform, AL passed away December 29, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Kennedy officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Sonny McDaniel (Janie).
Survivors include his daughter, Brittany Weeks and husband, Brian; three sisters, Brenda McDaniel, Shelia McDaniel and Melanie Johnson (Jay); three grandchildren, Aydin Weeks, Vince Weeks and River Weeks; numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly and special friends and caregivers, Delphine Hughes and Lynn Mann.
Matthew was born August 9, 1960 in Reform, Alabama to the late Lonnie McDaniel and Odelle Elliott McDaniel. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a retired employee of B. F. Goodrich. Matthew graduated from Pickens County High School in 1978. He loved wood working, Alabama football and fishing.
Pallbearers will be James Hildreth, Daniel McCafferty, Shane McDaniel, Larry Boling, Jerry Pike, Perry McDaniel and Tommy Underwood.
