Mattie Bell Boone, age 92, of Reform, AL passed away March 14, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday March 17, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Dean and Bro. Trey Reece officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Albert Lee Boone; her parents; sisters, Bertha Perrigin and Adeal Reece; brothers, Shirley Prescott, Wheeler Prescott, Jimmy Lee Prescott and Hollis Prescott; daughters-in-law, Norma Boone and Sandra Boone and son-in-law, Tommy Hollis.
Survivors include her daughter, Mildred Hollis; sons, Leroy Boone, Charles Ray Boone (Rita), William Albert Boone and Jerry Boone (Sharon); sister, Dorothy Harcrow; eighteen grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren and six great-great-great grandchildren.
Mattie was born April 17, 1930 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Charlie Prescott and Cora Jane Shaw Prescott. She was a homemaker and a member of Reform Church of God.
Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Neil Honea and staff and the staff of Hospice of West Alabama.
