Melba Ann McGee, age 81, of Carrollton, AL passed away December 16, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 21, 2020 at Carrollton Baptist Church with Rev. Shawn McDaniel and Rev. Robert Heard officiating. Burial will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy McGee; her son, Bill McGee; great-grandson, Carter Lee McGee; her parents; five sisters, Nell, Sissy, Abby Sue, Doris and Elizabeth and three brothers, John Robert, Bunky and Buddy.
Survivors include her four sons, John McGee (Sherry), Mike McGee, Todd McGee and Jody McGee (Ashley); daughter-in-law, Sharon McGee; sisters, Emily A. Mangan and Barbara Hallman (Jerry); brother, Jimmy Albright (Paulette); ten grandchildren, Kristen McGee Robbins (Greg), Dustin McGee (Haley), Caleb McGee (Alden), Katie McGee Guy (Austin), Colby McGee, Houston Norris, Ethan McGee, Gracie McGee, Will McGee and Mary Reese McGee; four great-grandchildren, Hudson, John Henry, Reagan and Rosie; a number of nieces and nephews and special friend, Charlie Carr.
Melba was born March 13, 1939 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Phillip Albright and Nellie Eaton Albright. She was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church and retired assistant Post Master for the U. S. Postal Service.
Pallbearers will be David Albright, Dwain Albright, Randy Barnett, Dustin McGee, Caleb McGee, Colby McGee, John Campbell and Chuck McDaniel.
Honorary Pallbearers are Sara Sherrod, Annie Young, Whitney Campbell, Roland Gray, Jerry Hallman and Stewart Gray.
