Michael Starnes, age 64, of Gordo, AL passed away January 27, 2022 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Elmore and Rev. Buss Ray Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harrison Starnes, Jr. (Ruthielee); mother, Nell Butler Crooks (Ray) and four brothers, Joe Plowman, Larry Starnes, Johnny Plowman and Jerry Plowman.
Survivors include his wife, Elba Lynn Starnes; daughters, Jennifer Starnes (Ronny), Christy Willcutt, Toby Blackwell (Johnny), Teresa Finch, Brandie Bryant and Brittany Buchanan; sons, Michael Lee Starnes (Leslie) and Anthony McCrackin (Amanda); brothers, Wayne Starnes (Candy), James Plowman (Kim) and D. J. Starnes (Brenda); sister, Beth Fisher (Eddie), sister-in-law, Sandra Plowman; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Michael was born October 25, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a self-employed mechanic.
