Michelle Denise Gilliam Wilburn, age 53, of Gordo, AL passed away December 13, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Korey Zizziah and Rev. Mike Perrigin officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Rayford Sullivan; her daughter, Hannah Booth; grandparents, Nathan and Emma Ruth Gilliam and Cecil and Beatrice Sullivan.
Survivors include her mother, Gail Gilliam Sullivan; two daughters, Amanda Templeton (Randy) and Jodi Wilson (Josh); four grandchildren, Haley Templeton, Kaiden Hudson, Gunner Wilson and Ruthie Wilson; two sisters, Tammy Bice (Jay) and Monica Sullivan Higgins (Chris); brother, Jonathan Sullivan (Erica); nieces and nephews, Madison Smith (Joe), Taylor Rice, Allie White (Will), Mikayla Carter, Kavin Rice, Jordan Bice, Jaden Carter, Abbigail White, Jay Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Grayson White, Emberlee Richards, Willow Morris and a bunch of extended family.
Michelle was born June 7, 1967 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was retired from Northport Police Department 911 Dispatch where she worked for 14 years and was employed at Pickens County Medical Center for five plus years. Michelle never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. She always felt the need to be the one in charge of the family.
Pallbearers will be Drew Wilburn, Josh White, Brett Christian, Bryan Hardemon, Tanner Khune and the Northport Police Department.
Honorary Pallbearers are former and current Northport Police Department officers, all dispatchers, Cancer Center Treatments of Atlanta and ER and ICU staff at Baptist Memorial.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Baptist Memorial Hospital, 2520 5th Street, Columbus, MS 39705.
