Mike Dewayne Chain, age 69, of Reform, AL passed away April 10, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Holliman, Bro. Ronnie Elmore and Bro. George Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm Friday, April 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael David Chain; his parents, J. C. Chain and Nettie Mae Bolling Chain Swink and stepmother, Olene Chain.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Brenda Taylor Chain of Reform; son, Jason Chain and wife, Krista of Reform; two brothers, James Chain (Barbara) and Anthony Chain, both of Columbus, MS and three grandchildren, Matthew Chain, William Chain and Emily Scarber.
Mike was born May 16, 1953 in Columbus, Mississippi. He was a member and deacon of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a retired employee for Bolling Logging.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Phillips, Clayton Bonner, Mark Chain, A. C. Hollis, Jimmy Ray Burroughs, Jeremy Taylor, Jason Marcum and Dow Phillips.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bert and Bobbie Chain, Joe Beasley, Mark and Sandy Prater, Lindsey and Lisa Watkins, Kenneth and Judy Stough, Jerry and Terisa Robbins, Craig and Roxanne Holliman, Ryan and Rylie Harcrow, Daniel Sharpe, Jamie and Mickie Elmore, James Plowman, Keith Plowman, James and Doris Tilley, Billie and Kathy Taylor, W. A. and Sue Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Larry Joe Amberson, Jack's buddies, coon hunting buddies and Bethlehem Baptist Church family.
