Michael Burrows McGee, age 59, of Carrollton, AL passed away April 26, 2023 at his home in Carrollton, AL.  Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday, April 28, 2023 at Carrollton City Cemetery with Bro. Robert Heard and Bro. Trey Reece officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will follow the service at Carrollton Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.                                                                                        He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Melba McGee; grandparents, Prude and Bessie McGee and Phillip and Nellie Albright; brother, Bill McGee; nephew,  Greg Robbins and, great-nephew, Carter McGee.                                                                                                                 Survivors include his son, Colby McGee; brothers, John McGee (Sherry), Todd McGee and Jody McGee (Ashley); sister- in- law, Sharon Davis (Dale); nieces and nephews, Kristen Robbins, Dustin McGee (Haley), Caleb McGee(Alden), Katie Guy (Austin), Houston Norris (Mikaela), Ethan, Gracie, Will, and Mary Reese McGee; great-nieces and nephews,  Hudson, John Henry, Reagan, Rosie, Adley, Lenny and new great-nephew coming soon and special friends, Paula, Amy and Kitty.                                                                                                                                         Mike was born February 3, 1964.  He was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church and a graduate of Carrollton High School, class of 1982.  Mike worked throughout his life in the forestry industry. He was passionate about being outdoors, caring for his horses and hunting. But, most of all, he enjoyed gardening and being with family.  Mike will always be remembered as a loyal, dependable, life of the party guy.                                      The family is forever thankful to Sara Sherrod, Sue Anne Davidson, Chuck McDaniel, and Kim Extine for the love, knowledge, and kindness given to Mike. To his best friend, Dan Gilliam, thank you for the endless care and support throughout traveling this difficult journey.                                 Pallbearers will be  Eric Reynolds, Dan Gilliam, Dale Davis, Hal McGee, Ike Gibson, Chuck McDaniel, Randy Barnett and John Campbell.             In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to Palmer Home for Children, P.O.
