Mike Wayne Sutton, age 65, of Gordo, AL passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at his home. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 11, 2022 at Liberty Cemetery on Ray Bass Road in Gordo, AL with Bro. Jeremy Woolbright and Bro. Scotty Driver officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin, Marvin and Murray; sister, Mary McGairty; sister-in-law, Louise Johnson Sutton and brother-in-law, Michael Parrish.
Survivors include five brothers, Marshall Sutton (Faye) and Max Sutton, both of Gordo, AL, Milton Sutton and Morris Jean Sutton, both of Carrollton, AL and Marty Sutton (Glenda) of Elrod, AL; four sisters, Mickie Kerr of Fresno, CA, Melba Parrish of Eutaw, AL, Mable Price (Ricky) of Satsuma, AL and Margie Faye Woolbright (Terry) of Gordo, AL and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mike was born January 19, 1957 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Floyd Sutton and Lena Pate Sutton. He was a retired employee of Gulf States Paper Corp. with 23 years of service and a poultry farmer. Mike was a hard worker and continued to work up until the day before he passed. He was well known in the community and if you ever needed anything, he was there. He will be missed greatly by all.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Stephens, Steve Stephens, Ricky Sutton, John Morgan Sutton, Joshua Bonner and Jason Bryant.
Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Spencer, Daniel Livingston and Todd Malone.
