REFORM | Mildred Earnestine Collins, age 88, of Reform, died December 13, 2013, at Pickens County Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. today, December 15, 2013, at Stansel Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Walter Collins, and her parents.Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Drake (Paul) of Reform, Ala.; son, John Wayne Collins (Marguerite) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sisters, Margaret Sims of Fairhope, Ala. and Barbara Bridges of Thomasville, Ala.; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Collins was born June 29, 1925 in Ripton, Alabama to the late Thomas Alvin Salter and Ida Belle Salter. She was a homemaker and well known resident of Pickens County.Pallbearers will be Jason Pate, Jeremy Pate, Taylor Drake, Jared Shepherd, Carson Shepherd and Stephen Findley.Honorary pallbearers are doctors and staff of Aliceville Manor Nursing Home and Pickens County Medical Center.
