Mitchell Wayne Britt, age 37, of Tuscaloosa, AL passed away January 1, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 7, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Trey Reece officiating. Burial will follow in Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby Harcrow Rollins, Lester H. Guy, Sara Britt, Harvey "Junior" Britt and J. L. Harrison.
Survivors include his mother, Sandy Guy; father, Mike Britt (Sonya); his daughters, Taylor Britt (Grant) and Tegan Brasfield; son, Tyce Brasfield; brothers, Matt Britt (Marianna), Todd Acker (Torey), Tyler Taff and Cole Britt; sister, Savannah Britt; his soul mate and significant other, Libby Boone; great-grandmother, Dorothy Harcrow; close aunts, Denise Guy and Karen Britt and nephews, Levi, Kayson, Landon and Mason.
Mitch, as he was known and loved by all, loved nature and all it had to offer him. He found peace on a riverbank for hours on end with a big ole rod in his hand and also while camping and roughing it in the "wild", as he said. He found serenity in the woods, sitting quietly by, waiting on the big buck to step out of the shadows. He had a love of working with his hands, bringing calmness to his mind, whether by working on European skull mounts or simply working in the yard. When he was outside, he always felt at home.  A lifelong resident of Pickens County, Mitch was a self- employed welder/carpenter and attended Ethelsville Church of God.
Pallbearers will be Matt Britt, Todd Acker, Justin Jackson, Cole Britt, Tyler Taff, Cody McDaniel, Chris Harcrow and Chuck Bradshaw.
Honorary Pallbearers are a number of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly, H and H Hunting Club, Billy Wayne Harcrow, Ryan Harcrow, Riley Harcrow, Trey Reece, Jesse Reece, Richard Earl Harcrow, uncle Timmy Jackson, Chris Brents, Michael Williams and George Birmingham.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made toward the funeral expenses of Mitch Britt.
