Monica Sullivan Higgins, age 41, of DeLand, Florida passed away November 3, 2021 at Seasons Hospice at North Shore Medical Center in Miami. Private funeral services will be held with Bro. Korey Kizziah and Rev. Robert Argersinger officiating. A private burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. No public visitation will be held.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Rayford Sullivan; sister, Michelle Denise Wilburn; grandmother, Emma Ruth Gilliam and niece, Hannah Marie Wilburn.
Survivors include her husband, Christopher Raymond Higgins; mother, Cynthia Gail Sullivan; daughters, Jaden Emma Carter, Madison Brianna Smith (Joe) and Mikayla Rae Carter (Jay); sons, Kavin Christopher Rice and William Taylor Rice; granddaughter, Emberlee Richards; brother, Jonathan Sullivan (Erica); sister, Tammy Bice; sisters-in-law, Courtney Higgins and Andrea Jones (Chris); mother-in-law, Sally Higgins; father-in-law, Larry Higgins and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Monica was born June 21, 1980 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was a homemaker.
Pallbearers will be Lane Akin, Brett Noland, Jacob Leonard, James Plowman, Will Morris and Josh Wilson.
Honorary Pallbearers are Patrick Poeling, friends and staff of S.G.C. Engineering.
