Morris Lafayette Tilley, age 87, of Aliceville, AL died November 25, 2019 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Aliceville First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Tom Kay and Rev. Derrick Brite officiating. Burial will follow in Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to and immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice Strickland Tilley; his parents; three sisters, Daisy, Annie Gay and Luvenia and two brothers, Edgar and Lewis.
Survivors include his wife, Nona Faye Harris Heritage Tilley; daughters, Wanda Tilley Powell (Jeff) and Brenda Tilley Payne; son, Morris Eugene Tilley (Linda); brother, Ottis Tilley (Patsy); five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Morris was born January 18, 1932 in Reform, Alabama to the late Dalton Tilley and Bessie Pritchett Tilley. He was a member of Aliceville First Presbyterian Church, the owner of an automobile dealership in Aliceville and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Keith Fair, Alex Powell, Jason Rask and Dalton Payne.                                                                                                             Honorary Pallbearers are all of his Domino playing buddies.
