Nancy Jane Fair, age 82, of Northport, AL passed away March 4, 2022 in Northport. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shawn McDaniel and Bro. Byron Fair officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Chapman and Leon Fair; her parents; sisters, Peggy Hooper and Dorothy Huffman and brothers, Billy Moore Smith, Sam Smith and Johnny Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Gray; son, Jamie Chapman (Candy); sister, Rebecca Morris (Jimmy); seven grandchildren, Samantha Trull, Haley Chapman, Krista Fowler (Elijah), Jonna Dyer (Walt), Bo Chapman (Danielle), Koy Chapman (Reagan) and Chapman Gray; five great-grandchildren, Kellyn Trull, Bennett Trull, Wrhett Dyer, Whitt Dyer and Ellington Fowler; special nieces, Vickie DeBerry, Pam Pittman and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Nancy was born January 27, 1940 in Brownsville, Tennessee to the late Billy M. Smith and Becky Ross Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of First Wesleyan Church in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Pallbearers will be Keith Fair, Ryan Lolley, John Brandon, Brandon Herring, Mitch Dyer, Collin Herring, Walker Brandon and Todd Dillard.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jerome and Peggy Hickman, Darcus Goodman, Karen Trull, Mack Nelson, Ethel Spencer, Charity Findley, Glenda Driver, Stewart Parc neighborhood friends and employees of the Pickens County Board of Education.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959, Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center, 809 University Blvd. E., Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 or Gordo High School Athletic Dept., 630 4th Street NW, Gordo, AL 35466.
