Nancy Parker Owens passed away in Mountain Brook, Alabama on March 15, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill.  A memorial service will be 12:00 noon Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the First Presbyterian Church in Aliceville with Bro. Derrick Brite officiating.
Nancy was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on March 12, 1940 to Thomas Rufus Parker and Lucille Allison Parker. She grew up in Aliceville, Alabama where she attended Aliceville High School before heading to the University of Alabama where she studied textiles. She spent her career helping others as a geriatric social worker but remained an excellent seamstress and quilter throughout her years. After finishing her masters degree in Social Work, she was honored to have a fellowship at the National Institute of Health in Washington, D.C.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Rufus Parker; her mother, Lucille Allison Parker, and her sister, Harriett Elizabeth Parker.
She is survived by her sons, Arthur Glenn Owens III and Thomas Nelson Owens (Lolita Crabbe Owens); her sister, Betty Parker White and brother, Thomas Rufus Parker Jr. Her grandchildren, Charles Thomas Owens and Nancy Katherine Owens who knew her as CeCe were her pride and joy. We will never forget the love she brought to our lives.
