Nellie Jo Shirley, age 80, of Gordo, AL passed away October 25, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Mt. Olivet "Beaver Dam" Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Adam Homan officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service in the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Ray Shirley; son, Danny Goodman; her parents and sister, Clastine Hawke.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna McCool (Marlin); sons, Marty Goodman (Debbie) and Tony Shirley (Lisa); sister, Linda Smith; brother, Jamie Harvey and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nellie was born August 10, 1941 in Aliceville, Alabama to the late Travis Harvey and Marguerite Pate Harvey. She was a retired employee of Westinghouse and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Goodman, Bryan Micheal McDaniel, Hunter Shirley, Cody Shirley, Robert Smith and Landon Smith.
