GORDO – Notie Evie Lee, age 97, went to her heavenly home on April 21, 2017 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Damon Rose and Bro. L.V. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Rev. Buster O'Neal Lee; sisters, Susie Friday, Velma Tunnell, Minnie Elmore, Nettie Bell Robertson, Hattie Lucille Anderson, Maybel Kirk, Frances Young, Birdie Anderson and Mary Flemings; brothers, Albert Anderson, Jeffey Anderson and Emmit Anderson; grandson, Rex Pritchett and granddaughter, Penny Ballenger.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Smith of Reform, Ala., Ruby Pritchett (Olen) of Gordo, Ala.; son, O'Neal Lee (Janice) of Gordo, Ala.; sisters, Peggy Wise, Alma Presnall, Bonnie Strickland and Geneva Strickland; brother, Paul Edward Anderson; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lee was born January 27, 1920 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Lonzo Bascom Anderson and Tilde Belle Porter Anderson.
