ETHELSVILLE, Ala. | Ora Pearl Moore McDaniel, age 86, of Ethelsville, Ala., died March 16, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center- GT. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Redus Hall and Rev. Tim Merherg officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Ethelsville, Ala., with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Durant Moore and John Gilbert McDaniel Jr.; son, Terry Wayne Moore; her parents; brother, Troy Jaynes; granddaughters, Shannon Moore and Rebecca Moore, and step-granddaughter, Ashley Sparks. She is survived by her daughters, Mary McGahey (Gerald) of Reform, Ala., Patsy Tilley (Robert) of Ethelsville, Ala., Dean Nevin (Ricky) of Columbus, Miss., and Doris Cunningham of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, George Moore (Cindy of Coumbus, Miss., Steve Moore (Martha) of Ethelsville, Ala., and Rodney Moore (Theresa) of Columbus, Miss.; sisters, Helen Danner (Joe) and Annie Earl Ponds (Woodrow), both of Ethelsville, Ala.,; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews; step-children, Judy Dean, Dana Sparks (Mike), Janice Acker (Alfred), Jackie Reed (Arnold), Johnny McDaniel (Debra), and George Fazekas (Beth); 16 step-grandchildren, 18 step-great grandchildren; and 1 step-great-great grandchild. Mrs. McDaniel was born November 18, 1927, in Pickens County, Ala., to the late Earlie Jaynes and Lucille Wharton Jaynes. She was a retired employee of United Technologies in Columbus, Miss., and a lifelong resident of Pickens County. Pearl was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Derek McGahey, Gary Moore, Jay Moore, Shane Tilley, Robby Tilley, and George Moore III. Honorary pallbearers are Baptist Medical Center ER, 5th Floor and Critical Care Dept., Dr. Asamoah, Dr. LeBrun, Dr. Lavender, Dr. Hemstreet, Dr. Dunn, and former employees of United Technologies/ American Bosch.
