Pam Whitt Goodman, age 62, of Northport, AL passed away February 17, 2022 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Mitchell and Rev. Herb Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Susan Whitt Simpson and Emilyn Whitt Beachler and her grandparents, Emma Greer Drake, W. W. and Maggie O'Neal Whitt.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Kelvin Goodman; two daughters, Shannon Grantham (Shawn) and Whittney Tate (Beau); sister, Alicia W. Cochran (Terry); seven grandchildren, Dalton Grantham, Colin Grantham, Olivia Grantham, Ava Tate, Alison Tate, Anabelle Tate and Abigail Tate; brothers-in-law, Calvin Goodman and Randy Simpson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pam was born January 17, 1960 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Rev. Dr. Palmer Joe Whitt and Martha Lee Drake Whitt. She was a member of Circlewood Baptist Church and former bookkeeper and secretary for the Hale County Board of Education. She was a loving wife, mother, Nana, sister and friend.
Pallbearers will be Beau Tate, Shawn Grantham, Dalton Grantham, Terry Cochran, Randy Simpson and Calvin Goodman.
Honorary Pallbearers are the Northport Taco Casa crew, DCH TSICU, Dr. Craig Buettner, West Alabama Family Practice, Dr. Anand Pandey, friends and neighbors of Bristol Park Subdivision, members of Circlewood Baptist Church, former co-workers and teachers of the Hale County Board of Education and graduating classes of Hale county High School 1996-2008.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
