Julious Patrick "Deater" Smith, age 75, of Coalfire, AL died December 20, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be 2 pm Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Shaw and Rev. Melvin Mordecai officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Anne Bishop Smith; two daughters, Tiffany Smith Estes(Rodney) and Deanna Smith Wilkins(Matthew); son, Samuel Smith(Christina); brother, Daniel Smith; seven grandchildren, Garrett Estes(Kendall), Raye-Anne Estes Britt(Chance), Katelyn Wilkins, Cade Barton, Cara Barton, Cali Barton, and Mason Smith.

Patrick was born October 14, 1945 in Millport, AL to the late Julious Cager and Grace Stokes Smith. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and retired from Omnova in Columbus, MS.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Estes, Matthew Wilkins, Garrett Estes, Chance Britt, Cade Barton, and Jay Boothe. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce "Butch" Pate, George Bishop, and Johnny McCool.
