Patricia Schultz Hammond, age 58, of Linden, AL passed away September 8, 2021 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Ethelsville Baptist Church with Rev. Mel Howton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her niece, Amber Schultz.
Survivors include her husband, Alan Hammond; son, Noah Hammond; her parents, Bertis Mayo Schultz, Sr. and Betty Ruth Bradshaw Schultz; brothers, Roger Schultz (Elisa) and Bertis Mayo Schultz (Cathy); nieces, Rachel Heaton (Heath), Heather Harcrow (Chris), Kayla Brown (Trey), Kristen Harvey (Allen) and Lauren Calaway (Jacob); uncles, Gilbert Bradshaw and Roy Powell; cousins, Susie Pritchard (Daryl), Charles W. Bradshaw (Trish) and Paul Agerton (Tracy) and ten great-nieces and nephews.
Patricia was born February 20, 1963 in Columbus, Mississippi. She was a member of Ethelsville Baptist Church and cafeteria manager for the Marengo County Board of Education.
Pallbearers will be Roger Schultz, Bertis Mayo Schultz, Jr., Heath Heaton, Chris Harcrow, Trey Brown, Allen Harvey and Jacob Calaway.
Honorary Pallbearers are the staff of Sweet Water High School cafeteria, , faculty and staff of Sweet Water High School, Whitfield Regional Hospital nurses and staff and UAB nurses and staff.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Palmer Home for Children, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, MS 39703.
