Patricia Ann Holliman Richardson, lovingly known as Pat, was born on December 23, 1939 in Fayette County, Alabama and passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025 at the age of 85 after a year's battle with cancer. Pat's life was rich with love, family and a deep commitment to her faith in Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Landon Owen officiating. Burial will be in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melton Holliman and Pauline Turner Holliman; sisters, Gail Poole and Diane Langford; brother, Billy Holliman; sister-in-law, Rose Holliman; brother-in-law, Steve Langford and grandsons, Braxton Richardson and Hans Richardson.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion survived by her daughter, Lori Owen (Mike); sons, Mike Richardson (Jennifer), Kerry Richardson (Renee) and Robby Richardson (Patti) and sisters, Bobbie Sue Rogers (Fred), Judy Savage (Don), Debbie Holliman and Terry Palmer. Her family tree flourished with eleven grandchildren including, Hannah Richardson Gifford (Collin), Haidee Richardson Jones (Thomas), Hallie Richardson Foster (Isaiah), Colton Richardson, Brenlee Richardson, Faith Richardson, Kayla Studdard, Chloe Richardson, Mason Owen (Jessica), Landon Owen (Michaella) and Haven Owen and nine great-grandchildren, Rowen Myles, Conner Richardson, Valor Gifford, Shepherd Gifford, Salem Gifford, Canyon Jones, Foster Jones, Wilkes Jones and Marty Foster.
Pat dedicated her life to lovingly taking care of those in the beginning of their life for the first part of her career and then to those nearing the end of life in the last part of her career. She was a proud member of Gordo First Baptist Church, faithfully attending services as a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ. Pat was blessed with many friends that blessed her life daily with phone calls. Her brother and sisters shared a special relationship and loved spending time together, Her passion was her family as she was always willing to selflessly help and serve each member any time they needed her. She relished the moments when all of her children and grandchildren were together. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She couldn't give them much materially but showered them with her love and concern about what was happening in their lives. She made trips to her home fun and filled with games, wonderful meals and lots of laughter.
Pat's life was a testament to love, family and faith and her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Pallbearers will be Colton Richardson, Mason Owen, Collin Gifford, Thomas Jones, Isaiah Foster and J D DeLoach.
