Pattie Gay Burkes, age 80, of Northport, AL passed away September 13, 2022 at Aspire Physical Recovery Center of West Alabama in Northport, AL. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Burkes; her parents and sister, Martha Nell Hughes.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Rogers and husband, Lowell; son, Mike Burkes and wife, Carla; six grandchildren, Ben Patrick (Crystal), Grayson Duckworth (Shelby), Bailey Rogers (Breanna), Ashley Burkes, Macy Burkes and Meredith Rogers and one great-grandson, Jon Ridge Patrick.
Pattie was born June 3, 1942 in Palmetto, Alabama to the late Travis Hughes and Maurdine Williams Hughes. She was a homemaker, a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and also attended New Salem Baptist Church. Pattie had a great love for all animals. She had a green thumb and enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and plants.
Honorary Pallbearers are Grayson Duckworth, Ben Patrick and Bailey Rogers.
