Paul Donald Babb, age 62, of Gordo, AL passed away January 6, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Cornerstone Church in Gordo with Rev. Troy Nicholson and Rev. Marvin McCormick officiating. A private burial will be held in Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Babb and grandparents, Philip and Lois Babb and Harvey and Mary Thaxton.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Rachel Sanders Babb; his children, Phillip (Kendra), Jon (Katelyn) and Sara Babb; grandchildren, Braelyn, Sawyer, Marley, Harper, Abigail, Lilah, Adelaide, Tate and Jase; mother, Ruth Babb; siblings, Mark Babb (Tammy), Betty Vintson (LaWayne) and Susan Lambert (Kevin) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Paul was born February 13, 1960 in Reform, Alabama. He was a member of Gordo First United Methodist Church and a former electrician for the State of Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Robby Babb, Stephen Babb, Justin Babb, Dalton Lambert, Jonathan Duffy, John Ben Herring and Nate Shelton.
