Pauline "Polly" Barbour Fair, age 92, of Gordo, AL passed away March 27, 2021 at Moundville Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Center Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Horace Fair; sons, Billy Fair and Joe Fair; her parents, brothers, Charles, Cecil, Jasper and Hubert Barbour and sisters, Susie Kendrick, Leona Koster, Annie Templeton, Ruby Buford and Mary Buford.
Survivors include her sons, Ricky Steven Fair, Sr. (Connie) and Horace Wayne Fair (Patricia); nine grandchildren, Elissa Dye (David), Joshua Fair (Bonnie), Joseph Fair (Andrea), Joanna Murray (Brad), Ricky Steven Fair, Jr., Rodney Steven Fair (Angie), David Fair (Cassandra), Mike Fair (Abbey) and Misty White Hamner (Danny); 24 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Polly was born April 6, 1928 in Moorehead, Mississippi to the late William Barbour and Beulah Reynolds Barbour. She was next to the youngest of ten children.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ricky Fair, Jr., Rodney Fair, Mike Fair, David Fair, Josh Fair and Joe Fair.
