Survivors include her son, Jeff McGahey (Stacey); brothers, Billy Ponds, Daniel Ponds and Ricky Ponds (Suzette); grandson, Kyle McGahey (Ashley) and great grandson, Walker; grandson, Noah McGahey (Mary) with  great grandsons, Maverick and Rhett plus baby girl on the way; bonus granddaughter, Rayshell Taylor (Jerry) with great granddaughters, Addyson and Aubrey and bonus grandson, Randall Callihan (Stephanie).
We lovingly honor Peggy, a woman whose quiet faith shone brightly through her love for family and the beautiful world God placed right outside her door.
Over the years, she loved watching her boys and grandsons play baseball, cheering from the stands with quiet pride at every hit and every run. She also delighted in playing with her great-grandkids—inside on rainy days and outside in the sunshine, creating giggles and memories that will last forever.
Yet Peggy found her greatest joy right at home in her beloved yard. She would ride her golf cart lovingly tending every leaf and stick that dared to linger. She cherished watching the birds and spent peaceful hours sitting in the sun on her deck, soaking in the beauty all around her.
Her quiet devotion to these simple pleasures—whether on the baseball field, in the backyard with little ones, or among the leaves and birds—reminds us that true contentment is found in caring for the world right outside our door. In these simple acts, she lived out the truth of Genesis 2:15—that we are called to tend and keep the garden God has given us. Her gentle stewardship reminded us all that true contentment comes from delighting in the Lord and caring for His creation with thankful hearts.
Peggy's love was steady and gentle, rooted in the everyday moments that mattered most. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, joy, and the peaceful spirit of a life well-tended.
We entrust Peggy into the loving arms of Jesus, where she now rests in perfect peace, surrounded by eternal beauty far greater than any yard or field. May her example inspire us to love our families well, rejoice in each new day, and tend the world around us with the same faithful care.
Rest in peace, dear Peggy. Your legacy of faith, family, and simple joys will continue to bloom in our hearts until we meet again in the presence of our Savior.
