REFORM | Peggy Jean Keating, age 76, of Reform, died March 11, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. March 14, 2015, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Pannell and L.D. Keating; her parents; and great-granddaughter, Sara Beth Simmons.Survivors include her daughters, Gail Pannell, Pat (Doug) Sudduth all of Reform, and Cindy (David) Oritz of Palmdale, Calif.; brother, Robert Simpson Jr.; six grandchildren, Steve (Shellia), Kelley, Lynn Underwood, Anthony (Erica) Simmons, Chris (Jill) Masters, Brandi (Heath) Woods, and Phillip (Kendra) Sudduth; and twelve great grandchildren, Wesley and Brittany Underwood, Logan and Hannah Kelley, Aisa and Ryley Simmons, Lexie and Dylan Masters, Trey, Tristan, Tanner, and Timberly Woods. Peggy was born August 27, 1938, in Pickens County, Alabama, to the late Robert "Red" Simpson and Eliza Hedrick Simpson. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She devoted her life to her family and caring for the elderly. Peggy retired from Salem Nursing Home after 20 years of service. Pallbearers will be Logan Kelley, Anthony Simmons, Chris Masters, and Phillip Sudduth.Honorary pallbearers are former employees and staff of Salem Nursing Home and the staff of Hospice of West Alabama.
