Peggy Ann McGarity, age 78, of Aliceville, AL, formerly of Cottondale, AL passed away May  1, 2023 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May  4, 2023 at Arbor Springs Baptist Church in Reform with Rev. Larry Shelton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Donald McGarity, Sr.; her parents; granddaughter, Heather Nicole Belk; brothers, Johnny Spencer and Ricky Spencer and sister, Carolyn Pierce.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Belk (Terry) and Marcia McGarity; sons, Donnie McGarity (Tammy) and Dwight McGarity (Lisa); brothers, Billy Joe Spencer (Bobbie) and Danny Spencer (Anita); brother-in-law, Roy Pierce; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Peggy was born June 2, 1944 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late David Spencer and Ruth Wilson Spencer.  She was a member of Arbor Springs Baptist Church and a retired sales associate.
Honorary Pallbearers are staff of Aliceville Manor Nursing Home and former co-workers.
