Obituary

ETHELSVILLE – Peggy Margene Perrigin, age 74, of Ethelsville, Ala., went to her Heavenly home on July 20, 2016, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, at Liberty Assembly of God in Millport, Ala. with Rev. Kenneth Henegar and Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Andrews Chapel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Survivors include her husband, Gene Perrigin of Ethelsville, Ala.; daughters, Tammy Shaw (Danny) of Reform, Ala., Lisa Maxey (Whodo), Donna Kay Langford (Mike) and Becky Bell, all of Ethelsville, Ala.; sister, Brenda Peeks (Jerry) of Millport, Ala.; brothers, George Wharton (Betty) of Reform, Ala. and Johnny Wharton of Ethelsville, Ala.; sisters-in-law, Jenita Duncan and Delean Aldridge; brother-in-law, Olen Perrigin (Gin); ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.Mrs. Perrigin was born September 4, 1941 to the late George Wharton and Edith Wright Wharton. She was an active member of Liberty Assembly of God in Millport, Alabama and was known for her love of her Savior and for her family. She loved people and witnessed to many not only with her words but also with the life she led. Peggy was loved by so many for her unselfish and unrelenting service she gave to her church, family and friends.Pallbearers will be Mike Langford, Whodo Maxey, Dustin Vail, Danny Shaw, Chase Gore, Austin Whitten, Josh Williams, Chad Hudson and William Ledbetter.
